Abstract submission for poster presentations:
- Submission deadline is July 15, 2008 at
midnight.
- Approximately 25 posters will be accepted.
- Notification of poster acceptance or rejection will occur on or before August 1, 2008. Accepted abstracts will be published in the course syllabus for registered attendees. An author must be present and registered for the conference if their poster is accepted.
Submission guidelines:
- Abstract submission must include: research title, primary and secondary authors, and contact information for primary author. Abstract body may be no more than 250 words. Abstract body must contain the following: purpose/hypothesis, number of subjects, materials/methods, results, conclusions and clinical relevance.
- Please refrain from using trade names unless absolutely necessary. Use asterisk and clarify at the bottom of poster if use of trade name is deemed necessary.
- Authors may submit more than one abstract, however please note this at time of submission.
- Posters that have been previously presented at another meeting or published are eligible as long as this is noted on the submission
- Poster abstracts will be reviewed for the following criteria:
- Are the objectives/methods clearly stated?
- Do the results use appropriate statistical measures and are the findings clearly stated?
- Is the information current and of interest to attendees?
- Poster size may be up to 4 feet high by 8 feet wide. No material may extend beyond the dimensions of the mounting board. The only handouts permitted are exact copies of the abstract or poster. No products may be advertised.
