Luther
C. Kloth PT, MS, CWS, FCCWS, FAPTA is Emeritus Professor
of Physical Therapy at Marquette University Milwaukee,
Wisconsin where he has taught a comprehensive wound
healing course to Masters level and DPT students. He
also teaches several continuing education courses on
wound management for rehabilitation professionals, and
is frequently invited to speak at national and international
wound care meetings. As a clinical researcher he has published several papers
related to the use of electrical stimulation and normothermia
to accelerate healing of chronic wounds and is currently
studying the effects of an antiseptic agent on several
wound pathogens and on human fibroblasts. He is a Certified
Wound Specialist and Fellow of the College of Certified
Wound Specialists (CCWS) and is on the Board of Directors
of the CCWS and a member of the Association for the
Advancement of Wound Care. He is a member of the Editorial
Advisory Board of Advances in Skin and Wound Care and
is senior editor and author of the popular textbook,
Wound Healing Alternatives in Management, 3rd ed., published
in 2002 by the F.A. Davis Company, Philadelphia. |
