Dot Weir, RN, CWOCN
Dot
received her nursing degree in 1976, her Enterostomal
Therapy training in 1980 and re-certified in Wound and
Ostomy nursing in June 2005, and received her CWS certification
in April 2004. As a WOC Nurse she has practiced or consulted
in acute care, home care, long term care and outpatient
wound services. She has also worked in industry in both
medical supply and Medicare services, as well as clinical
support in pharmaceuticals. Currently she is the Clinical
Manager for the Orlando Regional Outpatient Wound Centers,
part of Orlando Regional Heathcare in Orlando, Florida.
Dot was on the founding board of the Association for
the Advancement of Wound Care, and served as the first
treasurer, as well as spending 6 years holding the positions
of President Elect, President, and Past-President. She has been a member of the Wound, Ostomy and Continence
Nurses Society since 1980. She has served on the Board
of Directors of the Southeast Region, and held various
Board positions for the Florida Association of Enterostomal
Therapists including President. Currently, she holds
the office of Secretary. |
